CEMIJ dispatched 4 experts from Japan to Indonesia for providing technical support in the TAGANA disaster response skill training program from August 30 to September 04, followed by several meetings with the Ministry of Social Affairs, the Asia Muslim Charity Foundation and other humanitarian organizations in Indonesia.

An incident command system was integrated in the training process from the beginning in order for the training participants to be familiar with the system as they require using it in a simulation drill at the endo of training.

The training was tough in deed, waking them up two times in the middle of nights as part of emergency assembly training. All 60 participants have successfully obtained a national certification of disaster response skill required for maintaining a TAGANA member status.
